Mannual lymphatic drainage.

This is another favourite treatment. The lymphatic system is vital to support our health. It collects the free radicals which float around our body making us feel sluggish and unwell. The lymph system is not attached to a pump so is reliant on our movement to clear any stagnation.

Lymphatics being overloaded affects our whole body... Skin and hair may loose its lustre, fluid retention and swelling, digestive system will be sluggish, symptoms of poor health will begin from things we are prone to then eventually illness.

Mannual lymphatic drainage is a perfect boost for your system. It is a rhythmic, pulsing, gentle massage which gives great results. We manually drain your lymph system by applying light pressure to the skin and working in the direction of the lymphatic system's natural flow.

This treatment is fabulous for anyone needing a boost, suffering from fluid retention, pre and post surgery and before and after travel aswell as for those prone to oedema.

Myofascial release

This is fascia. I have been offering this as a treatment for around 8 years now... It is amazing!

Fascia is described in so many ways.. Connective tissue, muscle memory, scarring.
We create fascia all over our bodies surrounding muscular tissue in order to help heal and protect our bodies. The issue is that unless we stretch these areas we just accumulate more and it begins to cause restrictions and pain. This is why stretching is key in exercise and why yoga and other similar exercise styles are so popular. Fascia is also the explanation of how we hold tension and emotions in our body.

This style of massage benefits everyone in the same way as a good stretch does. It is particularly efficient for clients who have found that traditional massage only helps with pain for a very short time. This massage is very gentle feeling, no squirming under the pressure of a massage this is relaxation at its best. As this is such a gentle comforting treatment clients who have high pain scores, Ms, me, fibromialgia who may find massage too sore can have this.

The benefits of this are wild, clients describe this as feeling like they have been "unwound" and say the feel the same benefit from this as they do deep tissue work without the discomfort.

This is suitable for all ages and is the only massage style where we can work directly on skeletal areas. It also is a fabulous tool for reducing appearance and restrictions of scar tissue.

I ask all clients to book the time they need this appointment is for an hour, hour. If you require an hour and a half or 2 hours book a combination treatment of the correct time.

I treat clients who just want some relaxation and calming, who are recovering after injury, scar work, pregnancy and so much more. I offer a variety of different massage styles and find it's best to combine e can decide together.

We often use Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy and myofascial release to get amazing results (I'll be sharing more about these over the coming weeks)
